You!
I read this in one of my evangelism text books and thought that it was powerful. "God's answer to this hurting, lost world is you! God will do what we can not do, but He will not do what we can do." - Dr. David Wheeler, Liberty University
The Woman Who Rides the Bull
While doing some research for my eschatology class, I found this very interesting and would encourage you to do your own research on the subject. According to Greek Mythology, there was a Phoenician princess named Europa who Zeus fell in love with. In order to get her, he disguised himself as a white bull and tricked her into sitting on him. He then swam with her on his back to Crete. Today, the woman who rides the bull is one of the national symbols of Europe. Very interesting in regards to Biblical Eschatology.
I've also attached a photo of the back of a Euro coin and a statue that is in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Sad news, but according to the Bible, it is going to get a lot rougher on Christians.

Tolerance
The traditional definition of tolerance is living peaceably alongside others in spite of differences. But that view of tolerance has been twisted today to mean that everyone must accept the other person's viewpoints without question because truth is relative.

Today's Christian Youth
According to Josh McDowel's research of "Christian" youth (I.e. the kids in your youth group)
* 63% don't believe that Jesus is the Son of the one true God.
* 58% believe all faiths teach equally valid truths.
* 51% don't believe Jesus rose from the dead.
* 68% don't believe that the Holy Spirit is a real entity.
* 65% don't believe Satan is real.
We have got to do a better job at teaching our children and young people the Bible! The problem is that if you don't know it, you can't teach it.

The Glory of God
"The glory of God, and, as our only means of glorifying Him, the salvation of souls is the real business of life" - C.S. Lewis

Christian Humanist
An oxymoron is a figure of speech that produces a seemingly self-contradictory effect. I.e. Black Light, Dry Ice, Cruel Kindness, Jumbo Shrimp and a Christian Humanist."

Staff Retreat
We will be heading out for our staff retreat tomorrow morning through Saturday in Lunahuana. It's going to be a great time of rest and hanging with the rest of the staff and their families. We've got a little bit of white water rafting, horseback riding, pool side relaxation, worship and time in the Word planned!
